GROAN
I guess they can't win them all in one hit. The LA Angels struck back today, earning a split as their ALDS series moves back to New York.
New York dropped a ballgame they could have won, but instead their shoddy glove work let th Angels past them to a scoreline of 5-3. Chine-Ming Wang pitched really well, but the Yankees have to really be carefully with their glove work when they are behind the extreme ground-ball pitcher like Wang. Indeed, Wang induced 16 ground balls to 4 fly ball outs in 6.2 innings pitched.
The Yankees made 3 errors; one by Cano, one by A-Rod (oh god no) and one by Wang himself.
The ALDS resumes after a day's break. Maybe by then I'll stop hyperventilating with frustration. :)
